Convoy for Heroes is proud to announce that Captain Tony Harris, Cofounder and lead driver of Race2Recovery and an Ambassador for Help for Heroes, will be starting the Convoy at 1pm on Easter Sunday. He will be giving a talk about the work that Help for Heroes continues to do for our troops, both past and present, and also about team Race2Recovery' recent exploits in Dakar where the team finished in 49th place. These talks will take place on Saturday afternoon.
Also attending will be one of the Hero bears from Help for Heroes to meet and greet the children both little and large!!.
Just some of the events being held will be:
Easter bonnet - the landies not the ladies!
Easter egg scrambles - for both little and large!
Auction of goods donated to Convoy for Heroes
Raffle of donated goods
Children's film night - with popcorn
Twilight tour on Sunday evening - light up your landie
The Convoy team have received a large number of emails regarding the above counter, stating they will hold off booking until it rises. . If this is the approach then the counter will stay dormant for a long time, so please book in early and watch the counter shoot up !!! We wont beat our own record if we all wait . .
We currently hold the world record for the longest parade of Land Rovers which stands at 348 . . . We would like to beat this record, so with your help and ideas this will be something we aim for in 2014. Most importantly raising money for Help for Heroes is the main reason why we have a Convoy each year!!
Saturday, Dodgers Circus Workshop will entertain ‘kids’ of all ages in the main marquee teaching circus skills and hopefully the ‘kids’ will perform a small show later in the afternoon
So there we have it, the bookings have now closed for Convoy 2014.
C4H would like to thank everyone who has booked in, and to all those who’ve put in endless hours to bring this all together. We will be working away until the Easter weekend to make sure everything is in place so we can all have a family weekend raising money for Help for Heroes.
The C4H Team have now packed up all the flags ready to bring to the event. You will be able to purchase them over the weekend so don’t panic folks you wont miss out - See you all there soon not long now!!!
